Stefan Daniel partners with Toyota Canada on his road to tokyo 2020

On June 12th, Toyota Canada announced its 10 Canadian athletes roster that will represent the brand on the build up to the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. The team consists of 6 Paralympians and 4 Olympians coming from a wide range of sports. Among them is 22 year old Calgarian Stefan Daniel, a 3x Paratriathlon World Champion and silver medalist from the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games.

The decision to included Stefan on the team was an easy one for Toyota. Other than his stellar results, Stefan is an inspiration for those around him whether competing or in the classroom. Born with bilateral radial club hands with his right arm being most affected, always refused to call it a disability, but simply something that he would have to deal with throughout life.

With a goal of one day competing in both the Paralympic and Olympic Games, Stefan is a great ambassador for Toyota’s “Start Your Impossible” campaign which aims at sharing the inspirational stories of some of the greatest athletes around the world.

As part of the partnership, Stefan will be driving around Calgary in a brand new Toyota RAV4 for the next two years on his way to Tokyo 2020. His new SUV will allow him to travel with all his training equipment stress-free thanks to the incredible reliability of Toyota!
